*Remember Effect suggestions are my suggestions for the home player. Usually suggestions are geared for a low budget. I purposely use effects and equipment that I know everyone can afford, and get their hands on, in an effort to prove that you can get a great sound without mortgaging your house.

For this problem you really needed to listen closely to the chords. You needed to determine whether it was a 7th of some sort or a 9th, or just a plain old Major or minor type chord. Then you needed to figure out what specific pitches were being used within the chord and in what order they were in.
Another thing that we've covered in other Ear Training problems that you should have listened for is whether or not you could hear any sliding. The sliding noise is a good indication of what specific chord shapes were being used. For instance if something is a D chord and you hear a slide up to it, you can safely assume that it's either a 5th position or 10th position D chord rather than an open position on. That is of course unless the slide was moving downward.
Remember though, it's important to try to hear the difference between open strings and non-open strings and also, wound strings and non-wound ones. These all have a distinct sound to them if you listen for it.
Many of you did well with this problem. I think a lot of you are remembering earlier lessons and carrying them forward. That's the idea, nice work. For those that didn't quite nail this one, maybe the tips I share with you on the video lesson will help you out in the future.
Enjoy the tabs.

This is a classic Jazzy chord pattern. Those of you who are Jimmy Buffett fans might recognize this chord pattern as the main theme riffing to his early song, "Pencil thin mustache." It's a classic chord pattern used in many songs though, including "Alices Restaurant", and countless tunes from Jim Croche and James Taylor etc etc.. The list goes on and on.....
Obviously this is my own version of this chord pattern made into a lesson, No emails from Buffett fans with corrections please. I'm aware of how his actual track goes.. LOL (always have to say that, Oh the lessons I've learned over the years.)
