*Remember Effect suggestions are my suggestions for the home player. Usually suggestions are geared for a low budget. I purposely use effects and equipment that I know everyone can afford, and get their hands on in an effort to prove that you can get a great sound without mortgaging your house.

Answer notes
For this problem we ripped into some classic Jimmy Page style riffing. I can't count the number of dudes I run into or that I know that ask me for Zep Riffs. There's usually trick to these sorts of riffs and figuring them out can be tricky. This is because they usually contain a lot of, or at least some Chromatic sections. Those half step intervals are hard for a lot of players to hear.
We got a wide variety of tabs that came in for this problem. Many of you were correct with this problem and some of you were way off. Some of you didn't get the drop D, but this was rare. What really happened with most of the incorrect submissions was either the chromatic intervals were backward, or you heard the 5th or 3rd of the actual pitches being uses. This is still a problem that's occurring. The cure for it is to play your tabs with the mp3 and then play mine and when you reach a note that differs listen to what your ear hears and try to spot what you hear vs. what's really being played. Then make a mental note of what you need to hear for it to be a correct pitch.
Sort of like when you tune your guitar using harmonics for example. When it's out of tune those harmonics flux and sound all out of whack, but when it is in tune they match up nicely and the fluctuation stops.
Enjoy the tabs..

TABs
With light overdrive and a medium level of stereo reverb.
Slightly embellished take off on Steel Dirigible's "Ball Breaker" track. The actual Ball Breaker riff which will appear on the Steel Dirigible CD is more involved than this. This is just an excerpt from it.

A little Andy Dick. Slight mock up of what I do on the "Andy Dick" track which will appear on the Steel Dirigible CD. The actual Andy Dick riff is a bit more involved but this is a good one for Ear Training so I threw it in.

The ending below is NOT the ending to the Andy Dick riff, it's more of an embellished Moby Dick ending than anything else.
