About JFRocks Lead Guitar 101

Lead Guitar 101 not only covers how to come up with great leads for songs but also how to handle yourself effectively in a 2 guitar or 3 guitar situation. 

This is primarily an application CD ROM.  I DO NOT overlap topics on my CDs.  This CD utilizes a lot of the topics covered on Soloing 101 as well as other JFRocks CDs.  If you own a copy of Soloing 101, take my word for it you will want to have Lead Guitar 101.  Lead Guitar 101 can stand alone though if need be. 

As always and as with all of my CD ROMs I take the time to explain things to you in plain English.  I'm not going to glaze over topics and assume that everyone knows stuff already or that things are obvious.  Things are usually logical or make sense but most things are never obvious.  If they were teachers would not be needed and I pride myself on being a teacher not just a look what I can do kind of player.

Like I said this is an application CD.  Some may ask does this differ from Soloing 101 and the answer is yes.  Soloing 101 deals with modes and how to use them to solo with.  Soloing 101 contains a lot of theory that you should know if you want to use the modes to make solos.  Soloing 101 is designed to get you to move way beyond the Blues box or pentatonic scales and into playing with full Diatonic scales and even 8 and 9 tones scales.

Lead Guitar 101 goes into graphic detail on the application aspects of things, while it does use modes and expand on Soloing 101 topics, we also use the blues box as well and we use harmonic minor and mixed scales and arpeggios.  The tips given on this CD ROM just like on Soloing 101 can be used in any genre of music from Jazz to Metal to Classical to Bluesy stuff.  Lead Guitar 101 is about pulling leads out of yourself, but more importantly it's about understanding what you're playing.

On Lead Guitar 101 I will share with you my approach to soloing and give you some valuable tips as to how to approach a solo and how to allow your imagination to come through in your soloing.  This is really the key to blowing some minds with leads.  Guys like Vito from White Lion, and Satch, and Vai and V.H., (the list goes on) all play with personality.  I'll help you to do that with this CD.

This CD also goes into 2 and even 3 guitar situations and how to not only approach these situations with confidence but also I explain some things you can do in these situations that go beyond just following a chord pattern an octave higher.  I will share some tips and tricks of the trade where harmonizing with another guitarist is concerned and also where rhythm accompaniment is concerned.

This CD ROM as with ALL of my CD ROMs are a real value and are packed with content and valuable tips that you can't get anywhere else.  I say can't get anywhere else because I teach my approach to the guitar, so you really can't get that anywhere else but from me.  lol 

The content on this CD ROM was beta tested by local music school students for workability much like I did with Soloing 101.  The feedback I got from them was awesome and helped me to make necessary edits.  In the end that gives you an amazing and informative finished product.  Or at least I think so anyway.
